GMF AeroAsia participates in Singapore Air Show 2010

PT GMF AeroAsia participates in Singapore Air Show 2010 which is held in Changi Exhibition Center on February 2 – 7 2010. The biggest aerospace and defense exhibition in Asia Pacific is followed by 60 global aerospace companies such as Boeing, BAE System, Honeywell, Rolls Royce, KWM, Megadoor, Wesco, and HEICO. Participants consist of 600 world class companies, from aircraft manufacturers, MRO, supplier, and other aerospace products. 
“Singapore Air Show 2010 has a strategic point for GMF’s development” said President Director & CEO PT GMF AeroAsia, Richard Budihadianto. This exhibition is not only as a media for GMF to show its existentialist, but also would be a good way for GMF to introduce its capability widely. This exhibition also offers a big opportunity to GMF for sounding out the possibility of cooperation. “At least this sounding out of cooperation is possibly done in this exhibition” he said.

Moreover, in 2010 GMF plans a challenging revenue target achievement US$ 204,24 million (around Rp.2,4 trillion), and net profit estimate around Rp.91 billion. “Our vision is to be a world class MRO of customer choice in 2012”, he said.

According to Richard, in Singapore Air Show 2010, GMF brings forward its capability, including an acknowledgement of approval certificates from international civil aviation authority. At the present time, GMF has approval certificates from Directorate General Civil Aviation (DGCA), European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA/Europe), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA/United States).

Those approval certificates consist of the capability to maintain B737-classic up to the new generation B737-NG and also A320. This capability will be developed continuously to anticipate the change of aviatio n industry. “Domestic customers tend to use new aircrafts such as B737-NG and A320”, Richard said. The number of these aircrafts are predicted keep increasing in the next year.

Richard Budihadianto said that GMF participation in Singapore Air Show 2010 would give positive impact to GMF’s development. One of the impact that is expected much is GMF gets a new customer in this exhibition and increasing the alignment with other company for the company’s advancement. “From this exhibition we can forecast the map of MRO industry competition” he said.

As the biggest MRO company in Indonesia, GMF has maintained all airlines in Indonesia. Besides that, GMF customers also come from Malaysia, Thailand, Yemen, Oman, United States, China, South Korea, Greece, Niger, etc. “GMF will penetrate the market in the regional area and Middle East”, said Richard Budihadianto.
