GMF AeroAsia has settled an agreement of maintaining propulsion engines and generators with PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ). The agreement was signed by the President Director of GMF, Richard Budihadianto and the President Director of KCJ, Tri Handoyo in Jakarta on June 18th, 2014. The work scope consist of the maintenance and repair of PT KCJ electric motors such as traction motor, generator motor and compressor motor on electric railway trains (KRL).
Furthermore, the one year agreement also includes cooperation in the maintenance and repair of electric engines as the prime mover and operational support of KRL operations in the Jabodetabek area. “We are optimist that this cooperation brings opportunity for GMF Power Services as a GMF business unit to grab the non-aviation maintenance market,” said Richard.
Meanwhile, Tri Handoyo said that this partnership is to enhance the reliability of its electric railway train (KRL) facilities. “In the long term, we are confident if the partnership will minimize disruptions of KRL facilities related to electric motors,” explained Tri Handoyo.
