After had witnessed the signing of joint working agreement between the management and the worker union of Garuda Indonesia, the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia, Muhaimin Iskandar visited GMF AeroAsia on September 2nd, 2014. The Minister was accompanied by the President Director of Garuda Indonesia Emirsyah Satar and President Director of GMF Richard Budihadianto to visit Hangar 2, Hangar 3, and the new Hangar 4. Furthermore, he was also invited to visit the Maintenance Control & Coordination (MCC) room, a control room for operating Garuda fleet.
“There are about 600 Garuda flights worldwide to be controlled everyday including hajj flights this year,” said Sukarya, GMF’s General Manager of Maintenance Control & Coordination. The stricted control cause any problem in aircraft could be detected earlier thus the aircrafts can be repaired immediately when they land.
On the event, Mr Muhaimin expressed his admiration of the aircraft control system which can control operating aircrafts in the air. He hopes that GMF will continue to provide the best to support Garuda Indonesia’s operations.
