The Working Committee of National Aviation Safety, Security, and Quality of Commission V of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) visited GMF AeroAsia on 17th February 2015. The visit was to observe closely the management of aviation safety and security systems in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
During the visit, members of the House of Representatives were divided into two groups namely regulatory and operational aspects in the field. “We want to observe the aircraft maintenance process directly,” said Fary Djemi Francis, the Chairman of Commission V of the House of Representatives.
The elected representatives were invited to observe the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) room and received an explanation of the control process of Garuda aircrafts from Sukarya as General Manager of Maintenance Coordination. “We can control the entire flights and aircrafts condition in MCC room,” he said. The members of the House of Representatives were also invited to enter the Garuda A330 aircraft in Hangar 2 to observe maintenance result carried out by cabin technicians.
