GMF AeroAsia provided Power Plant PW 4000 training and B 747-400 Engine Run Up for six Iraqi Airways engineers. Held on 18th-23rd May 2015 in Jakarta, the training will prepare Iraqi Airways to operate B747-400 aircrafts. The Power Plant PW 400 materials include construction and system in a PW 4000 engine, whilst the Engine Run Up materials include preparation, operation engine, and trouble shooting. “They will also try Singapore Airlines’s B747 simulator,” said Rully Marully, Account Manager of GMF.
The training is a part of a C-Check maintenance cooperation of an Iraqi Airways B747-400 aircraft by GMF. The aircraft with YI-ASA registration has been returned to Iraqi Airways on 6th May 2015. Besides C-Check maintenance, the aircraft also underwent a 6 year regular maintenance. In addition to the maintenance package that has been determined, Iraqi Airways also entrust GMF to carry out component repairs. “Iraqi Airways will send its second aircraft, YI-AQQ on June 2015 because the company is satisfied with GMF’s maintenance,” he said.
