GMF Inaugurates the New Narrow Body Hangar

_MG_9066-15GMF AeroAsia has inaugurated Hangar 4, the biggest narrow body hangar in the world at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, on Monday, September 28th, 2015.

Hangar 4 spreads on 66,940 square meters area with 64,000 square meters for production area and 17,600 square meters for office. Built by state-owned construction firm PT Wijaya Karya and was funded by Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), this hangar cost more than USD 400M and has capability to maintain up to 16 narrow body aircrafts simultaneously.

“The existence of Hangar 4 will strengthen Indonesia’s position as the key player in Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Industry”, said Rini Soemarno, State-Owned Enterprises Minister of Indonesia.
