GMF AeroAsia Successfully Redelivery Eagle Express Aircraft on Time

GMF AeroAsia succeed in carrying out D01-Check of Malaysian Eagle Express B747-400 aircraft with 9M-MPM registration only in 35 days. “We are grateful because the customer is satisfied with our services,” said Suwandi as Project Manager of D01-Check 9M-MPM. Moreover, it was not easy to convince Eagle Express Malaysia to handed over its aircraft maintenance to GMF. Currently the 9M-MPM aircraft is being leased by Saudi Arabian Airlines and has been used for the 2015 hajj transport to fly hajj pilgrims from Indonesia. The aircraft is planned to be used by Saudi Arabian for umrah flights.

To achieve maximum result, GMF conducted a series of strategies ranging from the preparation to the socialization of the timeframe and required resources. “The socialization was not only for GMF’s internal, but also for customers,” he said. The socialization was also conducted to the GMF’s Board of Directors and Vice Presidents to give full supports for the implementation of the Eagle aircraft D01-Check. “We build a strong commitment thus they will focus on this work,” said Suwandi.

An important thing of the D01-Check implementation was the role of Dock Coordinator. Dasman Riawan, as a Dock Coordinator was responsible to make ‘daily menu’ for schedules and job card sequences every day. The daily menu was arranged by separating and grouping the job cards based on work areas on the aircraft namely wing/engine, fuselage, landing gear, cabin, and avionics. The powerful and precise synergy ultimately produces products in accordance to customer expectations.
