GMF AeroAsia and SR Technics made cooperation in developing aircraft component business. The five-year agreement was signed by Mr. Richard Budihadianto as President and CEO of GMF AeroAsia and Jeremy Ramacha as CEO of SR Technics at the first day of International Aviation Exhibition, Singapore Airshow 2016.
This contract is worth as USD 45 M in five years. “The strategic cooperation is a good opportunity for GMF to develop its portfolio in the world’s market,” said Richard Budihadianto. In this cooperation, GMF will provide GMF’s customer component pooling service for B737NG aircraft type with SR Technics supports, including training program to GMF’s personnel focused on components pooling concept and component shop capability development.
On a different contract, SR Technics entrust GMF to test, repair and overhaul, and modification aircraft component at GMF’s component shop facility. Furthermore, GMF AeroAsia and SR Technics will collaborate in marketing activity to strengthened aircraft component capabilities. According to Richard, alongside this cooperation, SR Technics will stand as GMF AeroAsia main partner in aircraft component business. “The collaboration will bring profitability for both companies, thus it strengthens GMF’s position in the market,” said Richard.
CEO of SR Technics, Jeremy Remacha said that the agreement further enhances long-term partnership between SR Technics and GMF to establish a stronger presence in the Asia Region. “As a strategic partner, we support GMF to further develop engineering capabilities that are adding extra valued to our customers and thus befitting both organizations,” he added.
