GMF AeroAsia (GMF) and the Goverment of Surabaya collaborate to provide human resources for aircraft maintenance at the end of May 2016. Through this partnership, GMF open the opportunities for outstanding students in Surabaya, especially in poverty condition to receive education and training of aircraft maintenance engineering. Then, the graduated students from the program will be recruited by GMF as an employee.
Nanang Triyasko Basuki, GM Corporate Culture of GMF stated both parties will choose the top 24 students as the starting step. From the results of the recruitment, the participants will perform the training program at the Academy Structure Basic Aircraft Flight Safety Engineering (ATKP), Surabaya.
“According to GMF needs, the participants will be trained to become Aircraft Structure Technicians,” he said. Nanang also added that the implementation of Basic Aircraft Structure training run parallel with cooperation program between the GMF with ATKP Surabaya to build a class of Aircraft Structure.
The seven months training will be start on July 18th, 2016. “The training cost is halved by Government of Surabaya and GMF,” he said
