Jakarta – PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia (GMF AeroAsia) participates in Jakarta International Logistics Summit & Expo (JILSE) 2016 on October 19th until 21st, 2016 in Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran. Conducted by Indonesian Custom, the three-days event is an inauguration of Bonded Logistic Center phase II. GMF AeroAsia is the only aviation company that officially inaugurated in the event.
At the first day of this logistics and supply chain exhibition, GMF AeroAsia also signed a number of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), comprising Airbus as strategic partner in inventory managing, DB Schenker for aircraft supply material and Alliance 21 for shipment activity. President & CEO of GMF AeroAsia, Juliandra Nurtjahjo said that GMF AeroAsia has been passed several mandatory administration and technical processes from Indonesian Customs. “Due to this provision, we hope that GMF AeroAsia could be the aircraft component logistic hub in Indonesia,” said Juliandra.
As ‘Just in Time Project’ and Dwelling Time can minimize to maximum of 24 hours, aircraft component availability will be delivered immediately for airlines. The pace of this provision is the main focus for MRO Company. Becoming the Official Bonded Center, GMF AeroAsia offers flexibility to its aircraft component material suppliers. The flexibility signifies the ease of components pooling and import duties suspension.
GMF AeroAsia believes the Bonded Logistic Center can minimize ‘Turn Around Time’ in aircraft maintenance. “GMF AeroAsia can ensure the aircraft airworthiness,” said Juliandra. As the biggest MRO Company in Indonesia, GMF AeroAsia aim to become Top 10 MROs in The World by 2020. The Bonded Logistic Center is a good opportunity for GMF AeroAsia’s customers to start a strategic partnership.
