GMF Completed A-Check for Garuda Indonesia B737 in Appron

GMF successfully completed A-Check for 737-800 owned by Garuda Indonesia at the airside Terminal 3 Soekarno Hatta International Airport on August 4, 2017. GM Line Maintenance Planning & Control, Oki Agung Setiyanto said the A-Check accomplished at the airside in order to maximize the utilization of Garuda aircraft. This work are consists of opening panel, walk around check, servicing, landing gear check, aircraft system check, etc. “If we found the finding, the aircraft will performed the repair process immediately,” He said.

According to Oki, A-Check at the airside is effective because there is no towing activity, so the manpower, equipment, and towing car fuel can be diverted to support other works. Therefore, the A-Check at the apron can make the aircraft availability on time. “After A-Check, the aircraft is ready to fly in the morning,” He added.
