Tangerang, December 13, 2017 - PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk. (GMF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of aircraft maintenance cooperation with PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. The signing of the MoU was conducted by GMF President & CEO Iwan Joeniarto and Garuda Indonesia Director of Maintenance I Wayan Susena at Hangar 4 GMF, Cengkareng (13/12). This MoU is a form of commitment of both parties to continue the long-term cooperation contract for the maintenance of Garuda Indonesia fleet that has been done since GMF was established in 2002 and will end in June 2018.
GMF President & CEO Iwan Joeniarto said that GMF will be committed to continuously improve its service to Garuda Indonesia as one of its Key Account Customer. “From this agreement we will form a special team from both GMF and Garuda Indonesia to make improvements to services provided by GMF to Garuda Indonesia,” Iwan said. Furthermore, Garuda Indonesia Director of Maintenance I Wayan Susena said that GMF, which is a subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia Group, has provided optimal service in maintaining Garuda Indonesia’s fleet in airworthy condition. “We appreciate the quality of GMF services as a world-class MRO that is getting better from time to time. Moreover, synergy of Garuda Indonesia Group will also optimally we do. But in accordance with good corporate governance we also perform performance reviews to all our business partners without exception including GMF as our maintenance provider, ” Wayan said.
Since GMF was established 15 years ago, Garuda Indonesia has entrusted its total maintenance to GMF, both in the form of Power-By-The-Hour (PBTH) and Time & Material Basis, which the services provided by GMF will ease its customers in comprehensive maintenance as well as planning the cost of aircraft maintenance.
GMF President & CEO Iwan Joeniarto also added that the services provided to Garuda Indonesia are part of GMF’s strategy as Total Solutions Provider. “We provide this service to all customers who entrust their aircraft maintenance to GMF. We apply equal treatment to all customers. With the continuous improvement of Garuda Indonesia’s service quality, the requirement for GMF is getting higher, and we are committed to be able to comply, “ Iwan added.
Iwan also said that Garuda Indonesia as a 5-star airline able to be a business window of GMF to expand its business globally. “In the future we are trying to reach a greater market of aircraft maintenance aside from Garuda Indonesia. However, Garuda portfolio as a world class airline also keeps GMF has a track record that counts in the global MRO industry, “Iwan closed.
