The Nigerian carrier Kabo Air entrust maintenance of its fleet to GMF AeroAsia for over the next 3 years. The cooperation was signed by Agus Sulistyono as EVP Corporate Development & Marketing of GMF and Engr Jhonah Achiyyi as Director of Maintenance of Kabo Air on 6 August 2012 in Jakarta.
According to Rully Marully as GMF Account Manager, based on the agreement, GMF will carry out maintenance of 3 B747-200 and 1 B747-400 aircrafts. The scope of maintenance will include C-check, D-check, and components. “For maintenance of B747-400 plane will be carried out at GMF next year,” he said.
Kabo Air confided maintenance of its aircrafts to GMF because they are confident with the quality of GMF products since a few years ago. This time, aircraft maintenance is intensified because Kabo Air is also in preparing transportation for hajj and umrah pilgrims. “During the hajj and umroh seasons, Kabo Air can reach 40 flights, said Rully. The cooperation agreement with Kabo Air has further opened a market for GMF over the African region and an excellent media promotion in the region as well.
