GMF Strengthens Aviation Industry Dominance at Bali International Airshow 2024

Bali, September 21st, 2024 PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMF), together with the Garuda Indonesia Group, participated in the Bali International Airshow (BIAS) 2024, held in Bali from Wednesday to Saturday (September 18th-21st). BIAS is one of the largest events in Indonesia that brings together global aviation industry players to showcase the latest technologies and build collaborative opportunities in the aviation sector.

During the participation in BIAS, GMF and the Garuda Indonesia Group aimed to strengthen their position as key players in the domestic aviation industry. By leveraging this momentum, GMF forged strategic partnerships with various business partners, both domestic and international, to expand services and enhance competencies in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO).

“BIAS 2024 is a golden opportunity for GMF to solidify its position in the domestic market while also expanding its international market penetration. We believe that through strategic collaborations, GMF will be increasingly prepared to face the challenges of the evolving aviation industry,” said CEO of GMF, Andi Fahrurrozi.

During the event, GMF signed several important agreements with various partners, including:

  1. GMF - Asia Digital Engineering (ADE):  Establishing a strategic investment partnership to expand landing gear maintenance services. This collaboration is expected to strengthen GMF’s capabilities to meet both domestic and international market demands.
  2. GMF - Arta Hanggar Indonesia: Cooperation in aircraft maintenance at the PT Arta Hanggar Indonesia hangar located at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta, with potential for further collaboration in the future.
  3. GMF - BBN Airlines: Extension of the Master Agreement for Standard Ground Handling Agreement, enhancing ground handling services for the BBN Airlines fleet.
  4. GMF - Honeywell:  Signing of a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the implementation of the JetWave MCX SATCOM satellite communication system on state aircraft in Southeast Asia.
  5. GMF - Citilink: Signing of an agreement that includes Power by the Hour (PBTH) services and Standard Ground Handling Agreement (SGHA) for Citilink aircraft.

The Bali International Airshow 2024 not only serves as a platform for showcasing aviation technology but also as a venue for strategic business meetings that could positively impact all industry players. “With the various partnerships established at BIAS 2024, GMF is committed to continuing as a reliable and trusted MRO service provider in Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific region,” Andi Fahrurrozi concluded.
