Tangerang, November 26th, 2025 - PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMF), through its Defense Industry SBU, has marked another significant milestone by completing the maintenance of two government-owned VIP aircraft: A-001 Boeing 737-800 BBJ2, owned by the Ministry of State Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia and operated by the Indonesian Air Force’s 17th Air Squadron at Halim Perdanakusuma as the presidential aircraft, and P-7301 Boeing 737-800 operated by the Indonesian National Police. Both aircraft were officially handed over on Wednesday (19/11) at Hangar 4 GMF, Soekarno–Hatta International Airport.
A-001 underwent C03 + 12 Years Inspection from 19 August to 19 November 2025, with a total turnaround time of 90 days, completed on schedule. Meanwhile, P-7301 entered maintenance on 3 November and was completed on 19 November 2025, finishing in just 20 days—earlier than the original plan (before schedule).
GMF CEO, Andi Fahrurrozi, expressed his appreciation to all stakeholders for their trust and collaboration throughout the project. “The completion of these two national VIP aircraft demonstrates GMF’s competence in managing projects with the highest level of sensitivity, complexity, and security standards,” Andi stated.
About the Maintenance of Boeing 737-800 A-001
The maintenance of A-001 covered a total work scope consisting of C03 (C-Check),12-year inspection, and livery painting. These tasks were completed on schedule as of 19 November 2025. The aircraft is now continuing with a follow-up project involving satellite communication (satcom) installation and cabin repair, currently in the finalization stage and targeted for completion in December 2025. The integration of the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) satcom utilizing MCX-based technology, tailored to government requirements, forms an essential enhancement to the aircraft’s VIP communication security and capability.
About the Maintenance of Boeing 737-800 P-7301
Throughout 2025, P-7301 underwent several phase checks as part of its scheduled maintenance program, including Phase 16 Inspection + 6 Years, Phase 17 Inspection, and the recently completed Phase 18 Inspection. These maintenance cycles are essential to ensure the aircraft’s full readiness to support the Indonesian National Police’s VIP missions.
Through the completion of these two VIP aircraft projects, GMF further strengthens its role as the government’s strategic partner in aircraft maintenance for national defense and security.
