Airbus and GMF Sign Contract to Upgrade Indonesia's Super Puma Fleet

Singapore, 21st February 2024 – Airbus has signed with PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMF)'s SBU Defence Industry business unit to offer the Indonesia maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) provider technical expertise and support in the design, manufacture, and installation of the retrofit solution for the Indonesian Air Force's fleet of five AS332Super Puma helicopters.


The agreement was signed by GMF's CEO, Andi Fahrurrozi, and Airbus Helicopters Head of Asia-Pacific on the sidelines of the Singapore Airshow.
Under this agreement, the Air Force's AS332 will undergo mid-life upgrades where GMF will leverage Airbus' deep domain knowledge and expertise to provide a retrofit solution that includes the installation of a full glass cockpit fitted with a state-of-the-art autopilot system.

Airbus and GMF are already partners, working closely together via a long-term maintenance training services pact supporting the A320 and A330 maintenance training needs undertaking in the region.
